The hydraulic system in your transmission is responsible for telling the mechanical components what to do, and when to do it. In order to better understand how your transmission works, it’s important to understand the mechanical components of it.

Honest, fast, and thorough. Not often do you get all three, Right? Not only did I use the words "that's all it's going to be?" when I was leaving I heard another customer say the same thing. Highly recommend to anyone.

Tyler Peterson, 5 Star Google Review of Brooksville Transmission

My husband and I have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler and we needed to get the bearings pressed. We look up the closest transmission shop and took it to Chris. When we walked in him and his wife welcome us with open arms. They are the sweetest people ever. He said yes I can do that for you please give me an hour and come back. When we came back he charged us nothing for doing this for us. That was the first time. The second time my two boys went up there and again they were so sweet and charged nothing to help us. He had done some work on my son's truck a while back. My son didn't owe that much and he knew that he was a young teenager with a job that was an honest hard worker. He told him to come in and pay him a little bit when he could until the bill was paid in full. Chris and his wife are so respectful, honest and such kind people. I would recommend them to anyone any day of the week. Thank you again so much for everything Chris. Google 5 Star Review by Kimberly Sechrest

Professional, courteous, reasonable, and fast are adjectives we use to describe Brooksville Transmissions. Chris kept us updated by phone and text throughout the process. It started when he notified us that he was sending someone to tow our 2000 Mercury Villager back to his shop. The towing fee was very nominal; not the fee I have had from towing services from other companies in the past. A few hours later, he let us know what they thought it was; a bad sensor, not the whole transmission as we were worried about. He told us he ordered the part and it would arrive in the morning. Shortly after lunch the next day, Chris called to let us know that the minivan was finished and ready to pick up. At pick up, their office and lobby were clean and spacious, and they were ready to process my account. The bill was for exactly the amount we were quoted the day before with no surprises. I was handed an envelope with the receipt and the warranty along with my keys on my way out. We would recommend Brooksville Transmissions to anyone.

Your car data owned by manufacturers now

Newer Vehicles Generate as Much As 25GB of Data/Hour according to McKinsey.  Now That is Extremely Interesting!  It is also daunting as we now need to know "what data" right?  You also want to know where it is going if anywhere and who owns the data?  All interesting questions that we never thought about.  Just get in and drive, choose a destination and if a light goes off in the dash you call us here at Brooksville Transmissions Inc. to schedule an appointment.   We want our Brooksville drivers to be informed as always and able to make their choices based on having facts.  This is a big change in the automotive-truck service industry and it really has not hit the news at all, so it is up to us to get you up-to-date and informed.  Here are the facts and where you can find more information!

Diagnostic Tablet on engine transmission sensor

Our Brooksville drivers have been experiencing issues with their transmissions and there are a few things that we here at Brooksville Transmissions, Inc. feel are important to know so that you are more comfortable and confident if you are, indeed experiencing a transmission problem of any kind. First, if you drive a vehicle manufactured in the past few decades, there’s a good chance your transmission has a variety of sensors attached to it which monitors all kinds of things - fluid pressure, vehicle speed, temperature, air intake at the engine, and so on.  The first thing to check is your Transmission Sensor, which is a much more affordable fix than replacing your transmission!
